LiveRunCast can be used in two ways. First, as a simple start and finish line tracking tool that is much cheaper than chip timing and much easier than pen and paper. Second, you can use LiveRunCast for splits during the race with or without internet access (ie with only HAM radio). If that later is the case, the race results are still somewhat live, but only as current as the times you receive from you radio operators.
An overwhelming majority of trail and ultra races do not provide a mechanism for tracking or following your friends and loved ones as they compete in a race. For many of these races, it is also very difficult to watch your runner in person since trail races often have fairly inaccessible courses. If you wish you use LiveRunCast in this way, it can help create an experience where running, even in remote places, can become more of a spectator sport.
As a runner passes each checkpoint during the race, the data is given to the race HQ for data entry (or entered at each checkpoint). Once this tracking data is added for each checkpoint, LiveRunCast shows current results. With this data you can track the current pace of your runner (and all runners), current place, whether or not they have dropped, how far they have run so far, and more!
*Remember - because LiveRunCast is chipless, all runners receive the same starting time but each runners gets an exact finish time as they cross the line and you hit on the computer.

Our CHIPLESS solutions does require a finish line operator (who simply types a bib and hits "enter" when they cross the line), but you will find it is MUCH cheaper that chipped timing solutions AND it is independent of the size of your race. We don't penalize you for having too many runners!
Custom Software requires 2-4 weeks delivery time (plus 1 week for each race distance beyond 2 - ie. a race with 4 distances will require 4-6 weeks delivery time). We will contact you within 24 hours of purchase to get necessary information to set up your custom software.
